Power Soukoban on SNES is one of those deceptively simple games that’ll make you question your life choices after the fifth time resetting a level. You push blocks. Sounds easy, right? Then suddenly you’re staring at the screen like a detective at a crime scene, realizing you trapped yourself three moves ago.
The first few levels ease you in—just some basic crate shuffling—but then the game starts throwing in conveyor belts, switches, and blocks that vanish if you look at them wrong. I remember getting stuck on one puzzle for half an hour before noticing a tiny gap I could squeeze through. Classic Sokoban trickery.
What I love is how clean it looks—bright colors, chunky sprites—but don’t let the cute visuals fool you. This thing’s brutal in the best way. Perfect for when you want to feel smart for solving a puzzle or need an excuse to yell at your TV. Just keep a notepad handy for those "aha" moments.
