Power Rangers Zeo: Battle Racers is one of those weird little SNES racing games that somehow got tied to a TV license. You pick your favorite Ranger (I always went with the Red Zeo Ranger, obviously) and race through these futuristic tracks that look like they were pulled straight from the show’s aesthetic—lots of neon grids and weird alien landscapes.
It’s not exactly Mario Kart, but there’s something oddly satisfying about drifting around corners while your Ranger yells cheesy one-liners. The controls take a second to get used to—your vehicle feels a little floaty at first, but once you adjust, pulling off tight turns feels pretty good. And yeah, you can shoot energy blasts at other racers, because of course you can.
Honestly, it’s a niche pick, but if you grew up with Power Rangers or just love obscure 90s racing games, it’s got a weird charm to it.
