Pokemon Fire Red : Backwards Edition Game

Pokémon Fire Red: Backwards Edition is exactly what it sounds like—Fire Red, but flipped. The whole game runs in reverse, from dialogue to battles, and it’s way more disorienting than you’d think. Your rival picks the starter weak to yours, trainers throw out their final Pokémon first, and even the map is mirrored. At first, it feels like you’re playing with your brain upside down, but after a while, it clicks in this weirdly satisfying way.
You’ll still recognize the Kanto region, just… backwards. Viridian Forest is on the left now, and Cerulean City’s gym is suddenly east instead of west. The best part? The dialogue is reversed too, so NPCs say things like “!uoy era woH” instead of “How are you!” It’s a fresh (and slightly ridiculous) way to replay a classic if you’ve memorized the original.
Fair warning—your muscle memory will fight you every step of the way. I kept running into walls because I forgot the map was flipped. Still, it’s a fun little twist if you’ve played Fire Red to death and want something new without straying too far from the original.
