Pit Fighter on SNES is one of those early fighting games that feels rough around the edges but weirdly addictive. You pick from three fighters—a brawler, a kickboxer, or a wrestler—and dive into these grimy underground fights where the crowd looks like pixelated potatoes screaming for blood.
The controls are stiff compared to later fighters, but there’s something satisfying about landing a big suplex or watching your guy’s face get progressively more busted up between rounds. The AI cheats like crazy, especially in later fights, so expect to lose a few times before you figure out the cheap moves that actually work.
It’s not Street Fighter, but if you’re into janky 90s fighting games with weird digitized sprites and questionable hit detection, this one’s a fun time. Just don’t expect deep combos—this is more about brute force and memorizing which punches the game actually lets you land.
