Otogirisou is one of those weird, moody SNES horror games that feels like playing through a late-night ghost story. You wake up in this creepy mansion with no memory of how you got there, and the whole thing plays out like an interactive novel—lots of text choices, eerie music, and sudden bad endings if you pick the wrong door or say the wrong thing.
It’s got that early ChunSoft vibe where the scares are more psychological than jumpy. The pixel art is simple but does a lot with shadows and silence. First time I played, I got a game over in like five minutes because I wandered into the wrong hallway. Classic.
Definitely a niche pick, but if you’re into slow-burn horror with multiple endings, it’s got this weird charm.
