Olympic Summer Games on SNES is one of those nostalgic sports compilations that somehow makes running and jumping feel way more intense than it should. You get the usual lineup—track and field, swimming, cycling—but with that classic 16-bit charm. The controls take a second to get used to (mashing buttons for sprinting never gets old), and some events are way harder than others. The javelin throw? Weirdly satisfying once you figure out the timing.
It’s got that mid-90s Olympics branding all over it, so expect pixelated flags and a soundtrack that’s equal parts cheesy and hype. Not the deepest sports sim, but perfect for quick rounds of couch competition. Just don’t blame me when your thumbs hurt after the 100m dash.
