Ninjawarriors Again is one of those SNES gems that flew under the radar—it's a beefed-up remake of Taito's old arcade brawler, but with way more polish. You pick between three ninjas (my go-to was the dude with the claws), and just plow through waves of enemies in that classic side-scrolling beat-em-up style. The sprites are surprisingly detailed for a 16-bit game, and there's something weirdly satisfying about tossing enemies into the background or slicing them mid-air.
It's a shame they didn't add co-op, though—this would've been perfect for couch multiplayer. Still, the single-player campaign has enough variety in moves and enemy types to stay fun. You'll recognize some mechanics if you've played Final Fight or Streets of Rage, but the ninja twist gives it its own flavor. The music's got that crunchy SNES synth sound too, which I'm a sucker for.
If you're into retro brawlers and don't mind going solo, this one's a solid time capsule.
