Okay, so Power Rangers Zeo: Battle Racers is basically what happens when you take the Zeo Rangers and throw them into a Mario Kart-style racer on the SNES. Bandai nailed that classic Mode 7 scaling effect—you know, where the track tilts and twists like in F-Zero—but with way more spandex and explosions.
You can pick any of the Zeo Rangers (I always went with the Pink Ranger because, let’s be real, she had the best color scheme), and then it’s just straight-up chaotic racing. Weapons, speed boosts, and the occasional Zord power-up make it feel more like a battle arena than a straight race. And yeah, the two-player split-screen mode is where it really shines—nothing like blasting your friend off the track with a well-timed energy blast.
Fun fact: This is the only SNES game based on the Zeo era, which is kind of wild considering how many Power Rangers games were floating around back then. There was a PC game too, but let’s be honest, this one’s the real hidden gem if you’re into retro kart racers with a side of ‘90s nostalgia.
