Mega Man on NES is one of those games that looks simple until you actually try it. You jump in as this little blue dude with a blaster arm, and suddenly you're staring down screen-filling bosses like Cut Man or Guts Man. The controls are tight—Z to shoot, X to jump—but man, some of those platforming sections will test your patience in the best way.
What’s cool is you can tackle the robot masters in any order, and each one’s weapon becomes yours when you beat them. Fire Storm against Ice Man? Feels like cheating (in a good way). Just don’t expect the game to go easy on you—those disappearing blocks in Elec Man’s stage still haunt me.
Keyboard controls are mapped pretty intuitively: arrows to move, space for select. It’s the kind of game where you’ll lean forward in your chair without realizing it.
