Mega Man 4 picks up right after the mess with Dr. Wily—except this time, some new guy named Dr. Cossack rolls in, bragging about being the best robot engineer in the world. Naturally, he starts causing chaos just to prove it. Classic villain move.

You jump in as Mega Man, blasting through eight new Robot Masters (Skull Man and Dive Man were always my favorites). The big change here? The Mega Buster. Finally, you can charge up shots instead of just spamming weak pellets. It feels so much better—like you’re actually packing a punch instead of tickling enemies to death.

The levels are tough but fair, and the music? Absolute fire. That Pharaoh Man stage theme still gets stuck in my head. Just don’t get too cocky with the new buster—some bosses will still wreck you if you rush in blindly.
