Mega Man 3 is one of those NES classics that still holds up—tight controls, killer soundtrack, and just the right amount of "Nintendo hard." You start off blasting through robot masters like Shadow Man and Magnet Man, stealing their weapons (which, let’s be honest, is the best part). The slide move they added here makes dodging way smoother than in the first two games.
Controls are simple: arrows to move, Z to shoot, X to jump. The trick is figuring out which boss weapon works against who—I still remember getting wrecked by Hard Man until I realized Top Spin absolutely shreds him. And that final Wily stage? Brutal, but so satisfying when you finally nail it.
Also, Proto Man’s whistle theme slaps. No notes.
