Mega Lo Mania is one of those weirdly addictive strategy games where you play as a god trying to out-evolve rival deities across different eras. You start in the Stone Age with a handful of cavemen, and before long you're researching tech, upgrading your little dudes into knights or tanks, and hurling lightning bolts at enemy bases.
The first time I played, I got wrecked because I didn't realize how important it was to grab territory early—those resource spots dry up fast. The pixel art has this goofy charm, especially when your units celebrate after capturing a zone. And the spells? Nothing like dropping a meteor on someone's carefully built army.
It's got that "just one more turn" energy, but be warned: the AI doesn't mess around in later stages. You'll want to balance expansion with defense unless you enjoy watching your samurai get steamrolled by laser tanks. Still holds up surprisingly well for a Genesis title.
