Mega Bomberman is basically Bomberman '94 from the TurboGrafx-16, but Sega Genesis owners finally got their hands on it. It's the same chaotic bomb-dropping madness, just with that chunky Genesis sound and slightly different sprites.
You know the drill—plant bombs, blow up walls, and try not to trap yourself in a corner while four other players scramble for power-ups. The single-player mode’s fine, but the real fun starts when you rope in friends for some couch multiplayer mayhem. Those little Louie creatures you can ride? Total game-changers when you’re trying to outrun an explosion.
It’s not the fanciest Bomberman out there, but it’s solid. The music’s got that classic Genesis twang, and the levels get just tricky enough without feeling unfair. If you’ve got a Genesis and a few controllers, this one’s a no-brainer.
