If you grew up mashing buttons on a Sega Genesis, Mega Man – The Wily Wars hits that sweet spot between nostalgia and "wait, why was this so hard?" It bundles the first three NES Mega Man games—but with smoother 16-bit sprites and a soundtrack that somehow makes the Robot Masters even more intense.
You start off picking your stage (I always go for Cut Man first—his stage music slaps), then immediately get thrown into that classic run-and-gun chaos. The controls feel tighter than the originals, though some purists swear the NES versions had better physics. Either way, you’ll still die a lot trying to time jumps over disappearing blocks.
The real draw here is the extra "Wily Tower" mode, where remixed levels force you to use weapons from all three games. It’s brutal, but beating it feels like flexing on your younger self who couldn’t get past the Yellow Devil. Just don’t expect any mercy—this is still Mega Man at its punishing best.
