Kyuuyaku Megami Tensei is one of those SNES RPGs that feels way ahead of its time—you start off in a ruined Tokyo where demons are just... everywhere, and half the time you're not sure if you should fight them or try to recruit them. The negotiation system is weirdly tense—like, this demon might join you if you give it your last healing item, but then what if you need it later?
Fusing demons is where things get really addictive. You'll spend way too much time in the menu trying to figure out which two weird creatures will make an even weirder, stronger one. The combat's tough but fair, and the atmosphere is just dripping with that classic Megami Tensei vibe—dark, a little weird, and totally gripping once it sinks its teeth into you.
If you're into old-school RPGs with actual consequences for your choices, this one's still worth digging up.
