Knights of the Round is one of those classic Capcom beat-'em-ups that just feels right. You pick between Arthur, Lancelot, or Percival—each with their own weight and attack style—and start smashing through waves of enemies with swords, axes, and the occasional horse charge. The combat's simple but satisfying, with a neat leveling system where your character actually upgrades armor mid-battle after enough kills.
What I love is how the game forces you to move—enemies swarm from all sides, and if you stand still too long, you're toast. The medieval setting stands out too, with castles, forests, and these weird floating platforms in later levels. Just don't expect deep storytelling; it's mostly an excuse to slash knights and weird minotaur guys.
It's not the hardest in the genre, but the co-op mode makes it a blast with a friend. You'll probably finish it in an afternoon, but sometimes that's exactly what you want.
