Klonoa Heroes takes the usual platforming action of the series and flips it into a turn-based RPG—which sounds weird, but somehow it works. You still get that classic Klonoa charm, just with more menus and stat screens. The story’s lighthearted but has those little emotional punches the series is known for, and the combat’s simple enough that you can just jump in without overthinking it.
At first, I wasn’t sure how Klonoa’s wind ring would translate to RPG battles, but it actually adds a fun twist—grabbing enemies and tossing them around still feels satisfying, even in this format. The pixel art’s bright and cheerful, and the music’s got that upbeat, slightly nostalgic vibe. If you’re into GBA RPGs and don’t mind something a little different, this one’s a neat little oddity.
