Kat's Run is one of those weird, charming little SNES racing games that never made it outside Japan. You're basically racing tiny boxy cars (they call 'em K-cars over there) on these tight, twisty tracks that feel like someone shrunk down real Japanese city streets. The handling's a bit slippery at first—took me a few crashes to realize you gotta brake early before those 90-degree turns.

What's cool is how different each car feels. Some understeer like crazy, others spin out if you tap the gas too hard. There's this one yellow hatchback that somehow feels both slow and twitchy at the same time—I keep using it anyway because it looks like my aunt's old grocery-getter. The pixel art's surprisingly detailed too, with little traffic cones and roadside shops whipping by.

It's not gonna dethrone F-Zero or anything, but there's something oddly satisfying about nailing a perfect lap in what's essentially a glorified toaster on wheels. Just don't expect a deep career mode—this is pure arcade-style "race three tracks, unlock the next cup" stuff.
