Great Battle II is one of those weird, fun SNES beat 'em ups where you realize halfway through that, oh right, you're basically playing Final Fight—but with Gundam characters. Like, you’re punching robots as a samurai or blasting through waves of enemies with a giant mech. The sprites are surprisingly detailed for a Banpresto game, and the two-player co-op actually works without turning into a mess (most of the time).
It’s Japan-only, so good luck with the menus if you don’t read kanji, but honestly, you’ll figure it out after mashing buttons for a minute. The only real downside? No Haggar suplexes. You get beam swords instead, which… fine, I’ll take it.
