Final Fantasy IV on the SNES is one of those RPGs that just sticks with you. Right from the start, you're thrown into this wild story where Cecil, a dark knight, starts questioning everything he's fought for—and the game doesn't let up from there. The characters actually feel like they matter, with betrayals, sacrifices, and some legit emotional moments that were way ahead of their time.
Oh, and the battle system? This is where the whole Active Time Bar thing started, so fights feel way more dynamic than your usual turn-based slog. You’ve got to think fast, especially when bosses pull out some nasty surprises. The music’s killer too—that overworld theme still pops into my head randomly.
It’s not perfect (some of the difficulty spikes are brutal), but if you want an RPG with heart, this one’s a classic for a reason.
