Final Fantasy III (or VI, depending on who you ask—it’s that whole SNES numbering mess) is one of those RPGs that just sticks with you. You start off with this weird magitek armor sequence, and before long, you’re thrown into a world where empire, rebellion, and ancient magic all collide. The characters? Top-tier. Terra’s got that whole "amnesiac magic experiment" thing going on, Locke’s a treasure hunter with a tragic backstory, and then there’s Kefka—honestly, one of the best villains in gaming, just pure chaotic energy.

The Esper system lets you customize your party in ways that feel broken in the best possible way. Want to turn Edgar into a chainsaw-wielding monster? Go for it. Or maybe teach Celes Ultima and watch her melt everything. The pixel art still holds up, too—the opera scene alone is worth playing for. And that soundtrack? Uematsu at his absolute peak.

It’s one of those games where you’ll spend hours grinding in the dinosaur forest just because the battle theme slaps so hard. If you’ve never played it, you’re missing out on a legit classic.
