Dragon Ball Z - Super Butouden 2 on SNES is where the series finally clicked for me. The first game was rough—floaty controls, weird hit detection—but this one? Night and day difference. Punches actually land with weight, combos flow naturally, and that soundtrack? Pure fire. Yamamoto went all out with those guitar riffs.
You’ve got a solid roster here—Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, even Trunks with his sword. Took me a while to settle on a main (ended up sticking with Vegeta because his rushdown feels brutal). The stages are destructible too, which sounds like a small thing until you blast someone through three mountains in a row.
Still holds up as one of the best DBZ fighters from the 16-bit era. If you’re gonna play one, make it this one.
