Cyborg Hunter came out for the Sega Master System, developed and published by Sega. You control a soldier tasked with clearing a city of rogue cyborgs. Your main goal is to explore the multi-level urban environment, find and destroy the central computer controlling the cyborgs, and then escape. The game progresses screen by screen, with you using a laser pistol to eliminate enemies. A key mechanic is collecting power cells from defeated cyborgs to keep your energy and weapon charged; if your energy depletes completely, it's game over. The pacing is deliberate, as you methodically clear areas and manage your resources, and the difficulty can be unforgiving if you rush. Playing it feels like a tense, methodical sweep through a hostile and quiet city.
