Bugs Bunny - Rabbit Rampage on SNES is pure cartoon chaos, and honestly? It’s a weird one. You don’t actually play as Bugs—you’re some unseen animator controlling him like a puppet, which is… a choice. The first level throws you into this trippy paint-and-ink world where you’re dodging falling anvils and hopping through classic Looney Tunes gags. The music’s got that bouncy, old-school vibe, but good luck figuring out what half the items do at first—I spent way too long accidentally turning Bugs into a balloon.
It’s janky in that early ‘90s way—Elmer Fudd’s hitbox feels unfair, and some jumps are just mean—but there’s charm in the madness. The way backgrounds warp and shift when you bonk enemies with a mallet? Still looks cool. Not gonna lie, younger me rage-quit a few times, but something about the sheer randomness (why is there a level where Bugs rides a unicycle through a circus?) kept me coming back. Just don’t expect a polished platformer—this is more of a nostalgia trip with attitude.
