B.O.B on SNES is one of those weird, charming platformers that feels like it got lost in the shuffle back in the day. You play as this little robot with a jetpack (sort of) and a gun that looks like it was cobbled together from spare parts, stranded on a planet that really doesn’t want you there.

The first thing you’ll notice is how floaty the controls are—B.O.B slides around like he’s on ice, and jumping takes some getting used to. But once it clicks, there’s something satisfying about bouncing off enemies and scrambling up walls while aliens lob everything from fireballs to literal kitchen sinks at you. The levels are packed with hidden paths and weird little details, like enemies that explode into pizza slices for some reason.

It’s not the tightest platformer on the SNES, but the sheer personality makes up for it. That soundtrack? Weirdly catchy. The art style? Like a Saturday morning cartoon from an alternate universe. If you’re into janky-but-lovable retro games, this one’s worth a shot.
