Arkanoid: Doh It Again is basically Breakout on steroids—SNES style. You start off just bouncing a ball to smash bricks, but then the power-ups start dropping: stretch your paddle, fire lasers, or my personal favorite, turning one ball into three chaotic ones. It gets wild fast.
What surprised me was the boss fights—you’re not just clearing blocks, you’re dodging attacks from these weird alien things while trying to hit their weak spots. Some levels even have enemies bouncing around, so you’re juggling between smashing bricks and not letting them wreck your paddle. The music’s got that classic arcade vibe too, all bleeps and bloops that somehow never get old.
It’s simple at first, but by the later stages, you’ll be sweating over pixel-perfect angles and praying for a laser drop. The SNES version holds up way better than it has any right to.
