Aleck Bordon Adventure : Tower & Shaft Advance Game

Okay, so Aleck Bordon Adventure: Tower & Shaft Advance is one of those GBA platformers that feels like it teleported straight out of the early 2000s—in a good way. You’re basically climbing these weirdly vertical levels, jumping between platforms while dodging spikes and whatever else the game throws at you. The controls are simple (just run and jump), but some of those later shaft sections? Brutal.
It’s got that classic "die and retry" energy where you’ll swear the game’s cheating until you finally nail the timing. The pixel art’s nothing groundbreaking, but there’s something satisfying about the way Aleck moves—kinda floaty, but in a way that makes sense after a few levels. And yeah, the music’s exactly the kind of chiptune banger you’d expect.
If you’ve got a soft spot for GBA-era platformers, this one’s a solid time capsule. Just don’t blame me when you get stuck on that one shaft with the disappearing blocks.
