Super Space Invaders on the Sega Master System takes the old arcade formula and gives it a fresh coat of paint—literally. The aliens look sharper, the backgrounds have more detail, and your ship moves smoother than the original. But it’s not just a visual upgrade. Some aliens drop power-ups now, like spread shots or shields, which adds a nice layer of strategy. At first, I kept losing because I’d chase upgrades instead of dodging, but once you get the hang of it, the pacing feels just right.

There’s also a two-player mode, which is chaotic in the best way. My friend kept stealing my power-ups, but that’s half the fun. If you’ve played the original, this version keeps the tension while making it feel less repetitive. Definitely one of the better Space Invaders remakes out there.
