Super Mario Rpg - Legend Of The Seven Stars Game

Super Mario RPG is one of those weird, wonderful SNES classics that shouldn’t work but totally does. Mario teams up with Bowser (yeah, really) and a bunch of oddball characters to take down a giant sword stuck in Bowser’s castle. The combat’s turn-based but with timed button presses to boost attacks or block—kinda like Paper Mario before Paper Mario existed.
First ten minutes? You’re jumping on goombas in 3D-ish isometric worlds, talking to Toads with actual dialogue (weirdly charming), and accidentally stumbling into battles where you realize timing your jumps right matters way more than you’d think. The soundtrack’s full of bangers, too—that forest theme lives in my head rent-free.
It’s short for an RPG, but packed with dumb jokes and little secrets. Like, why is there a hidden casino run by a chain chomp? No idea, but I love it.
