Super Bomberman 4 never made it outside Japan, which is a shame because it’s one of the best in the series. You’ve got the usual bomb-dropping chaos, but with way more power-ups and some wild new stages—like one where the whole arena tilts when you walk. The controls feel tighter than Bomberman 3, and the CPU actually puts up a fight this time.
If you’re playing the fan translation, it’s surprisingly polished—no weird text glitches or half-finished menus. The only downside? Finding four people with controllers for the multiplayer mode. That’s when the real madness starts.
