Street Fighter 2 Of Rage Game

Okay, so Street Fighter 2 Of Rage is this weird, kinda awesome mashup where someone took Street Fighter’s special moves and characters and shoved them into a Streets of Rage-style beat ‘em up. It shouldn’t work, but somehow it does—imagine Ryu throwing fireballs at a crowd of goons instead of just one opponent, or Chun-Li spinning through a whole alley fight.
The pixel art’s pure Genesis, all chunky and colorful, and the controls feel like they split the difference between the two games—you’ve got your classic quarter-circle punches but also that satisfying thwack of clearing a screen full of enemies. First time I played, I got wrecked because I kept trying to play it like regular Street Fighter, but once you lean into the brawler chaos, it clicks.
It’s definitely a love letter to the era, right down to the soundtrack that sounds like someone remixed Hadouken into a Sega sound chip. If you’ve got nostalgia for either series, this is a fun little “what if” to mess around with. Just don’t expect it to replace either of the originals.
