Space Gun came out for the Sega Master System, developed by The Sales Curve. It was one of the many action games on the platform, arriving when side scrolling shooters were common. You control a soldier in a powered suit, moving through a besieged space station. The objective is straightforward: fight through waves of alien creatures to survive and complete the mission.

You walk from left to right, shooting a variety of alien enemies that approach from both sides of the screen. Your main weapon is a rapid fire gun, and you can collect power ups to temporarily change your shot type, like a spread or laser. The game is divided into distinct levels, each with a large boss enemy at the end that requires pattern recognition to defeat. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty ramps up quickly, demanding quick reflexes to handle the increasing number of foes. It feels tense and immediate, like you are constantly on the edge of being overwhelmed.
