About Pac-man
I first played Pac-Man on the Game Boy, a version released by Namco in 1991. It was one of many arcade ports that filled the system's library, a straightforward conversion you could carry in your pocket. The greenish screen and chunky cartridge felt typical for the time, a simple way to get a classic maze game on the go.
You control Pac-Man, guiding him through a series of single-screen mazes to eat all the dots. Four ghosts, Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde, patrol the corridors; your main goal is to avoid them while clearing each stage. The core mechanics are eating Power Pellets to temporarily turn the tables on the ghosts and navigating the warp tunnels on the left and right sides of the screen to escape tight spots. The game starts at a manageable pace but becomes significantly faster and more demanding as you progress through the levels. It feels like a tense, quick-thinking race against the clock where one wrong turn ends your run.
