Haja no Fuuin (or Miracle Warriors if you're playing the English version) is one of those old-school RPGs where you grab a party of four and march across a pretty massive map to take down Lord Terarin. It started on Japanese computers in '86, but the Sega Master System port from '88 is the one most people remember—mostly because it actually got translated.

You pick your crew from a few classic archetypes—fighter, priest, ninja, the usual—and then it’s straight into grinding battles and exploring dungeons. The overworld’s surprisingly big for an 8-bit game, though good luck navigating without getting wrecked by random encounters every five steps. The combat’s simple turn-based stuff, but there’s something satisfying about watching your little sprites whack monsters with swords and spells.

It’s definitely a product of its time—no hand-holding, cryptic clues, and plenty of grinding—but if you’re into retro RPGs, it’s a neat piece of history. Just don’t expect a deep story or fancy mechanics.
