Final Fantasy V - EasyType is basically the SNES version of FFV with training wheels—but in a good way. The job system’s still there (hello, Freelancer supremacy), but they tweaked some of the grind and difficulty spikes so you can actually enjoy the story without getting wrecked by random encounters every five steps.
First ten minutes? You’re thrown into a wind-swept canyon with Bartz and his chocobo, stumbling into a princess who’s definitely not just some damsel in distress. The pixel art’s gorgeous—those SNES colors pop—and the music? Uematsu at his 16-bit finest. You’ll mess around with jobs early, switching between knight and black mage like you’re figuring out your RPG wardrobe.
It’s still FFV at heart, just less punishing when you accidentally aggro the wrong monster. If you bounced off the original’s difficulty or just want a smoother ride through the crystal saga, this one’s a solid pick.
