Donkey Kong Country 2 came out for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1995, developed by Rare. You control either Diddy Kong, who is nimble and has a slightly higher jump, or Dixie Kong, who can slow her descent by spinning her ponytail like a helicopter. You explore levels screen by screen, jumping on enemies, bouncing off barrels, and riding animal buddies like the swordfish Enguarde or the rattlesnake Rattly. The main goal is to collect Kremcoins to pay the toll to enter each of the gang's hideout levels, which are guarded by a boss. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty ramps up considerably in later worlds, demanding precise platforming and quick reactions. It feels like a challenging but fair test of your timing and exploration skills.
