I picked up Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Extreme Skate when it was re-released as part of the Classic Games on Mobile collection. It was originally a mobile title from the early 2000s, a time when phone games were simple and often based on popular licenses. The game was developed by Konami, a company well known for its work with the Turtles franchise.

You control one of three characters: Michelangelo, Casey Jones, or Mondo Gecko. The main goal is to win a deadly skate race hosted by the villain Fishface. You navigate a side-scrolling course, performing tricks and grinds to build up your speed meter. A signature mechanic is using your character's unique weapon, like Mikey's nunchucks, to attack enemy racers and obstacles directly on the track. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty comes from managing your speed while avoiding hazards. It feels like a chaotic, straightforward arcade experience where you are constantly reacting to the track.
