Oh man, the NES TMNT game—classic beat 'em up action with the turtle crew. You start off picking your favorite (Leo for me, though I always felt bad leaving the others behind), then it's straight into smashing Foot Clan goons with your chosen turtle's signature weapon. The first level throws you right into the sewers, and those tricky jumps over the toxic water still stress me out.
It's got that old-school arcade feel—simple but satisfying combat, and those chunky pixel sprites just ooze nostalgia. The music? Absolute bangers, especially the overworld theme. Sure, it's tough as nails in spots (looking at you, dam level), but that just makes clearing a stage feel even better.
Fun fact: This was actually a console-exclusive sequel to the arcade version, not just a straight port. They added some new levels and mechanics to stretch it into a full NES experience.
