Man, Super Mario World takes me back. It’s that classic SNES platformer where you’re bouncing on Goombas, grabbing power-ups, and hunting down secret exits in those sneaky alternate paths. The controls are simple—just arrow keys and jump—but don’t let that fool you. Some of those later levels? Brutal.
What I love is how each world feels different—haunted houses with creepy music, underwater sections where you’re dodging Cheep Cheeps, even those annoying but weirdly satisfying ghost houses where you gotta find the right door. And Yoshi? Absolute game-changer. Once you get him, you’ll never want to let go (until he eats a shell and turns into a helicopter, obviously).
It’s one of those games where you’ll still discover something new even after a dozen playthroughs. The nostalgia hits hard, but it holds up way better than most old-school platformers.
