Super Mario Bros Star Scramble 2: Ghost Island Game

Super Mario Bros Star Scramble 2: Ghost Island is one of those fan-made Mario games that actually gets it right. You start off in this spooky, floating level with those classic green pipes and question blocks—except now there are these annoying ghosts that drift around like they own the place. The controls feel just like the old-school Mario games, which is great because you’ll need quick jumps to dodge enemies and grab coins before they vanish.
At first, I thought the ghosts were just background decoration, but nope—they’ll mess you up if you touch them. The platforming gets tricky in some spots, especially when you’re trying to time jumps between moving clouds while avoiding those floating jerks. And yeah, you still get that little rush when you find a hidden block with a star or an extra life.
It’s short, but for a Flash game, it nails that classic Mario feel with just enough of a twist to keep it interesting. If you’ve got 10 minutes to kill, it’s a solid little nostalgia trip.
