Super Mario Revived is basically a love letter to the old-school Super Mario World, but with a fresh coat of paint. You still get that classic side-scrolling platformer feel—jumping on Goombas, grabbing power-ups, and hunting down secret exits—but the levels are remixed with new layouts and some unexpected twists. I got stuck on this one ghost house level for way too long because the hidden blocks weren’t where I remembered them.

It’s not just a straight-up clone, though. Some of the new enemy placements actually caught me off guard, and there’s this one desert level with quicksand that’s way more annoying (in a good way) than the original. If you’ve played the SNES version to death, this’ll feel familiar but just different enough to keep you on your toes.

Definitely scratches that nostalgia itch without being a carbon copy.
