MegaMan Battle Network 4 Blue Moon came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2004, developed and published by Capcom. This particular entry continued the action RPG style the Battle Network line was known for, offering a distinct version alongside its counterpart, Red Sun.
You control Lan and his NetNavi, MegaMan, navigating both the real world and the internet. Your main goal is to stop a global network crisis by progressing through tournaments and investigating mysterious incidents. The core loop involves exploring areas screen by screen, engaging in real time battles on a grid based field. You collect and customize Battle Chips to build a folder, which acts as your deck for combat, and you can fuse specific chips to create more powerful attacks. The pacing can feel uneven due to the repeated tournament structure, and some scenarios present a noticeable difficulty spike. It feels like solving a fast paced puzzle every time you enter a fight.
