About Final Fantasy Iii (japan)

Final Fantasy III came out for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1990, developed and published by Square. It was the last of the original Famicom trilogy, and for a long time, this particular version was only available in Japan, which made it a kind of obscure entry for Western players until later remakes.

You control a party of four orphans who become the Warriors of Light, tasked with restoring balance to the world's four elemental crystals. The game is built on exploring an overworld and towns screen by screen, delving into multi level dungeons, and engaging in turn based combat where you select commands for your entire party before each round. A defining feature is the Job System, which lets you change your characters' roles, like a Black Mage or a Knight, to adapt to different challenges. The pacing is deliberate, with a difficulty that expects you to grind for experience and gil in certain areas. Playing it feels like slowly assembling a capable team to face a world full of hidden paths and formidable bosses.
