Doraemon Game

Doraemon on NES is this weird little gem where the blue robot cat jumps between three totally different game genres to rescue his kidnapped friends. First up, it's a top-down action thing where you're running around a pioneer town—kinda like Zelda but with way more awkward controls. Then suddenly you're in a shooter chapter where the screen auto-scrolls while you dodge bullets (honestly, this part feels like someone mashed up Gradius with Doraemon fan art).
The last chapter? Underwater maze nonsense where every screen transition feels like the game's trolling you. Boss fights are brutal unless you hunt down the hidden power-ups—there's one sneaky upgrade in the first chapter that makes the final aquatic section slightly less miserable. Weirdly charming, but good luck figuring out some of the cryptic level designs without a guide.
It's the kind of game that makes you wonder what the devs were smoking when they stitched three completely different prototypes together.
