Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3 on NES is basically the same side-scrolling beat 'em up as the last one, but with a few tweaks. You pick your turtle—Leo’s got the reach, Raph hits hard, Mikey’s quick, and Donnie’s… well, he’s there too—and plow through waves of Foot Clan goons. The red ones chuck ninja stars at you, the pink ones poke with spears, and honestly, the purple ones are just annoying.
Two-player mode’s where it gets fun. You can either team up properly (mode B) or accidentally smack each other around (mode A, which is chaos). Throwing enemies into other enemies never gets old—just hold down + B and watch them ragdoll. And if you’re about to get swarmed, hitting A+B does a turtle-specific special move that clears the room (Leo spins like a top, Mikey flails wildly, etc.).
It’s not deep, but smashing through Shredder’s army with a friend still holds up.
