About Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Iii - The Manhattan Project...
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: The Manhattan Project came out on the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992, published by Konami. It was one of the later NES titles, arriving when the 16-bit consoles were already gaining ground, but it felt right at home on the 8-bit system. This was the direct sequel to the popular Arcade Game, and it captured that same frantic, cooperative beat 'em up style.
You control one of the four turtles, fighting through waves of Foot Soldiers and other enemies across New York City and the Technodrome. The main goal is to stop Shredder from lifting Manhattan into the air. Each turtle has his own unique weapon and a special attack that drains health but clears the screen when you're in a tight spot. The levels are linear but packed with hazards and platforming sections that require careful jumps. The game is known for its sharp difficulty, especially in later stages where enemy patterns become relentless. Playing it feels like a constant, fast-paced scramble to keep all your turtles alive.
