Oh man, TMNT 4 on the NES—this one's a classic. You start off picking your turtle (Leo’s my go-to, but Raph’s got that sweet speed), and then it’s straight into smashing Foot Clan goons with your katana. The sprites are way bigger and cleaner than the older games, and the music? Absolute bangers.
First level throws you right into the sewers, dodging manhole covers and wrecking dudes with your special attack. The controls feel tight, and you can actually pull off combos if you time your hits right. Just watch out for those annoying jumps—some platforms are way more finicky than they should be.
It’s basically the best beat-em-up the Turtles ever got on the NES. Grab a friend for co-op, and it’s even better.
