Super Marios Crystal Island Adventure 3 Game

Super Mario's Crystal Island Adventure 3 is one of those weird, unofficial SNES romhacks that somehow feels both janky and charming at the same time. You've got Mario running through these glittery crystal levels that look like someone went wild with the palette swaps, dodging enemies that definitely weren't in the original games. The physics feel a little off—like Mario slides just a bit too much after stopping—but after a few levels, you kinda get used to it.
First thing you'll notice? The music. It's a mix of familiar Mario tunes and some bizarre new tracks that sound like they were made on a keyboard from 1992 (which, fair enough, they probably were). The power-ups are where it gets interesting though—there's this weird crystal flower that turns Mario semi-transparent for a few seconds. No idea why, but it lets you phase through certain obstacles, so I'm not complaining.
It's not the most polished Mario experience out there, but if you've played all the official games to death and want something different, this is a fun little oddity. Just don't expect Nintendo-level polish.
