Super Mario World Revised Game

Super Mario World Revised is one of those SNES romhacks that actually feels like a proper expansion—not just some random level edits. They tweaked the physics just enough to make Mario a little snappier, added new power-ups (ever seen a fireball-throwing Yoshi?), and crammed in way more secrets than the original. The first time I played, I got stuck for like 20 minutes because I kept missing a hidden vine block in the second level.
Some of the new stages are brutal—in a good way—with these weird, looping layouts that force you to actually pay attention instead of just running right. And the palette swaps? Whoever did the graphics didn’t just recolor stuff; Ghost Houses have this eerie purple tint now, and the underground caves glow weirdly green. It’s still Super Mario World at its core, just… sharper.
If you’ve played the original to death, this’ll make it feel new again.
