Okay, so this is basically a romhack of Yoshi's Island, but with some extra levels and tweaks. You're still riding around on Yoshi, tossing eggs at shy guys and trying not to drop baby Mario (that crying sound still haunts me). The new levels feel pretty close to the original style—lots of those weird floating platforms and hidden clouds you can reveal by ground-pounding.

First thing you'll notice? The colors are way brighter than the original, almost like someone cranked up the saturation. Some of the new enemy placements are brutal—got ambushed by a piranha plant in a spot where nothing used to be. Still has that classic Yoshi flutter jump though, and the music’s just as catchy.

If you’ve played the original to death, this gives you a reason to go back. Just don’t expect a full-blown sequel.
